I've never even heard of the game and unfortunately I'm on a Mac so I'm out of luck, but could you explain some of it for us lovers of all that is gaming?
It's a really good, mindless game. It's new (like a month old, I think) and was just brought out by a single developer and his little company. Essentially, the game can go on forever, because it builds tracks from music you put into it.
So, for instance, let's say you have a song by Tool, it uses algorithms to make a track of sorts, and you can play in different modes to gain points on the track. One mode is "mono," for instance, and on this track you have to take your little car and hit all of the colored blocks on the track, while dodging all the grey ones. Here's a video:
It's really cool, because it basically makes your music collection into a game. Each song creates a unique track. The faster the song, the more congested the tracks are with colors and/or blocks in the various playing modes. It's a great party game.
There are videos of all the modes on YouTube now. It was an overnight hit on Steam and was their bestselling game for February.
That is pretty slick (ignoring the fact I got RickRoll'd). Shame I can't get no OS X love. Gonna have to get me an Intel Mac soon or a cheapo Windows box to get in on some of this gaming love.
