Without a doubt: PC

3DO, baby!

(Anyone else remember this one?)

Actually... I don't know. PS2 and Sega Master System have both been very good to me.

And yes, I still my Sega Master System. And it still works.

What a POS! *shudders* You might as well pick a Sega CD =\

Sega CD was da bomb, don't be knockin' that. Sonic for Sega CD one of the best video games of all time :)

My vote goes for the PS3 even though I don't personally own one. The Cell processor in it is incredible if you are an architecture-geek like me, it blows the pants off every other system out there and the a majority of graphics cards to boot. The thing eats polygons like a lion at a petting zoo.

@Oli: The 3DO was a Point Of Sale, as you so aptly put it. Heck I can still remember the infomercials for it, and the display stand it had in Walmart, of all places! At its high price point -- what was it, $700? (I remember it being something like $350/400) -- it was nothing but a rich boy's play toy. Sort of like a PS3, if it was just a little more expensive (to compensate for inflation).

If we're dealing here with systems that I don't own, I'll say the Wii and DS, both of which I've tried and have been INCREDIBLY fun. I'll stick with my Sega Master System and PS2, however. Genesis was also a spectacular system. Problem with Sega was the same as the problem with Apple: they were so insanely great they were ahead of their time in innovation. Coupled with bad decision making at key points in their history (firing Jobs/releasing the Dreamcast WAY too early), that forward vision caused them not to see the bumps in the road right under them. Additionally, both were software companies pretending to be hardware companies, to their detriment. Apple, as we see now, is a recoveing hardware company; Sega's dropped the "habit" altogether.

I'm happy with any :D

I stopped buying consoles after Nintendo 64. I feel so oldschool.

I'd call that EPOS in this day and age but yeah...

Sega had more of a problem in that some of their controllers could allow for blood-transferred diseases, they were that sharp. You should appreciate this as a Master System user! The Mega Drive/Genesis was also ridiculously painful after extended play.

Haha, wow, I remember that SEGA controller. Controllers these days got too many buttons, mayne.

I used to be a huge PC game nut, but since getting my 360 I haven't bought a single PC game.

360 for sure.

Oldschoolin' with the 'cube. Despite owning a Wii, a DS and a PSP, I keep going back to the Gamecube. I don't mind my PSP for some portable gaming on the train to work - can't beat a round of Locoroco to get you feeling good about the day, and life and everything. (Especially colourful blobs.)

PC gaming is number 1 for me. 2007 looks to have a whole bunch of great PC games. Crysis, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, Spore, Quakewars, etc.

After the PC comes the Xbox 360. Can't wait for Forza 2 to come out.

Without a Dreamcast on the list (an 'other' doesn't count) I consider it invalid.

*agrees with Scrivs*

I love the Wii and DS to death, but the dreamcast is the all time best system ever.

i miss the dream cast...sorry i ddent put it up

I'm 360 through and through, although I love my DS, too. I'm also getting back to PC gaming.

Although I have to say that I wasn't finished with the previous console generation. I still play on the Gamecube and the original Xbox, and I have yet to buy a PS2!

N64 baby

all time: n64

current: 360

DS, all the way.

Of course, that's because it's the only system with games that I can play and beat. Because I get pwnd, every single time, I try to play a game developed for those with some resemblence of skillz.

Second on the Dreamcast Scrivs.

But I guess if we're going by the list...hmm...I have a DS, a Wii and an Xbox, but my PS2 probably still gets the most play.

If we're going by just the list it's 360
If we're going by an "all-time" list it's a toss-up; SNES / Dreamcast

Current: 360
All time: NES

Nintendo DS

XBOX and 360. Even though I don't have a 360 (yet) the visualizer alone is something I want to use for multimedia presentations at work. Just kind of as a joke, because I don't think too many people notice the filler material I put up on the screen during group activities :)

Xbox 360, Nintendo DS.

I've been raving over the PS3 for awhile, but the games for the 360 definitely look better. Tough call.
